Navy SeaPort-NxG

The Seaport-NxG contract is an Indefinite Delivery, Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) contract with a total value of $5 billion and a five-year base period with one five-year options. Utilizing SeaPort-NxGwe can provide qualified personnel, materials, facilities, equipment, test instrumentation, data collection and analysis, hardware and software, and other services to support the Department of the Navy (DON) in the execution of its overall organizational functions and the specific missions of the individual activities and ordering offices. This includes services that potentially span the entire spectrum of mission areas and technical capabilities supported by the DON ordering activities. SeaPort-NxG awards fall into two broad categories: Engineering Services and Program Management Services, across twenty-three functional area subcategories. 

 

Team Capabilities and Experience

McLane Advanced Technologies (MAT) delivers innovative, reliable, and affordable technology solutions providing long-term benefits to stakeholders. With a rich history, lean business practices, and extensive past performance, MAT has experience in the engineering and management of complex Information Systems (IS). In 2006, the U.S. Army awarded MAT the SAMS-E contract as prime contractor and program manager. As the Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) of SAMS-E, MAT modernized and integrated three Army logistics systems into the highly successful SAMS-E suite. During the seven year contract term, MAT developed and maintained the SAMS-E software suite; conducted fielding, implementation, and training; performed security management, and modernized legacy systems. MAT currently provides program management support and technical services for PBUSE, the U.S. Army’s web-based information system that manages retail equipment inventory. Technical services include systems modernization and application development.

 

Core Teammates

Cherokee Nation Red Wing (CNRW) provides acquisition logistics support to Army rotary wing platforms and various other Foreign Military Sales systems on the Security Assistance Management Directorate (SAMD) Contract. CNRW has supported the Aviation and Missile Command (AMCOM) SAMD Foreign Military Sales (FMS) programs since 2011 in performance, maintainability, safety, and reliability.

EDC Consulting has an established relationship with MAT. EDC is also a Prime contractor on the SeaPort-e contract, and has been issued several task orders to include the Navy ERP 1.0/1.1 and Program Support Services (PSS) engagements. EDC demonstrates efficient and streamlined processes that allow for cost savings. These processes are built into the Team MAT approach and passed on to our clients.

Herdt Consulting, Inc. is a Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business providing business transformation services and solutions to forward-leaning organizations that includes ERP, Knowledge Management (KM), Continuous Process Improvement (CPI), Lean and Six Sigma (LSS), Thought Leadership, Strategic Planning, Organizational Change Management, Training and Leadership Solutions. They are a Seaport-e Prime in all seven Zones, and hold GSA IT70 and MOBIS contracts. Herdt supports the Navy on multiple programs to include the Navy ERP program, where, along with teammate EDC Consulting, they provide business process re-engineering, organizational change management, and system implementation and deployment support services to the Navy’s Systems Commands.

 

Quality Assurance Plan

Team MAT’s dedication to quality is the foundation for the cooperation and responsiveness focused toward  our customers and their needs. We manage all projects through a tailored Quality Assurance Plan assuring continuous process improvement. With an appraisal at Level 3 for Software Development of the CMMI Institute’s Capability Maturity Model Integration (CMMI), our Quality Assurance Plan is well defined and followed. MAT first achieved the Level 3 appraisal in 2008. In addition to CMMI, quality levels are based on International Standards Organization (ISO) 9001:2008 standards.
