Job Title: Information Assurance Trainer

Responsibilities of the Information Assurance Trainer 
McLane Advanced Technologies, LLC (MAT) is seeking candidates for a full-time Information Assurance Trainer position located at MacDill Air Force Base (AFB) in Tampa, FL.

The Information Assurance Trainer will be: 

• Guiding the implementation of appropriate operational structures and processes to ensure an effective Information Assurance (IA) security program including boundary defense, incident detection and response.
• Developing, tailoring, and implementing an information assurance training curriculum.
• Ensuring that all system controls and security activities are integrated into the construction of the solution and completed on time.
• Researching, developing, implementing, testing, and reviewing the information security of the solution to protect information and prevent unauthorized access.
• Keeping the Chief Information Officer (CIO), Data Analysts, and the Program Manager (PM) informed about security measures, explaining potential threats, installing software, implementing security measures, and monitoring networks.
• Conducting Risk Management Framework (RMF) compliant Security Assessment and Authorization (SA&A) in line with client guidance and directives for new and existing applications, systems, and programs, including evaluation of organizational policies, procedures, and security measures.
• Providing recommendations to system stakeholders for appropriate mitigation techniques or strategies in support of risk acceptance decisions.
• Creating, in a timely manner, customized reports to recommend the best course of action to mitigate newly found vulnerabilities.
• Developing recommended new or updated local policies, procedures, and standards.

Required Knowledge and Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Engineering, Science, or related discipline.
• 5+ years of relevant experience.
• Proficiency in written and oral communication and interpersonal skills.
• Experience working in an Agile based team to develop Epics and User Stories, defining measurable acceptance criteria, developing mission use cases, and developing test cases and procedures.
• Knowledge and experience with DOD IA processes and policies (e.g., CJCSM 6510.01, Incident Response and other IA policies).
• DoD 8570 Information Assurance Technical (IAT) Level III approved baseline certification.
• Approved certifications: CASP+ CE, CCNP Security, CISA, CISSP (or Associate), GCED, GCIH, or CCSP.
• Active TS/SCI clearance
• US Citizen
