Cybersecurity Architect – Tampa, FL
Responsibilities of the Cybersecurity Architect:
McLane Advanced Technologies, LLC (MAT) is seeking candidates for a full-time Cybersecurity Architect position located at MacDill Air Force Base (AFB) in Tampa, FL.
The Cybersecurity Architect will be:

Providing daily direction and managing a fast pace, high ops tempo environment.

Overseeing multiple teams that provide daily operational support for various types of cybersecurity technologies and related devices to include installing, troubleshooting, modifying, and testing.

Proposing innovative technologies or procedures that can advance the ability to detect and mitigate malicious activity.

Analyzing user needs and requirements to plan system architecture supporting cybersecurity operations.

Driving the integration of new cybersecurity capabilities to include building test networks, system prototypes, performing equipment set-up, testing, and participating in test report writing.

Developing and facilitating attack programs to verify security assurance and identify cybersecurity weakness within the enterprise.

Gathering and organizing technical information about an organization’s missions, goals, and requirements, existing security products, and ongoing programs.

Performing variety of routine project tasks applied to specialized technology problems.

Leading the integration of processes or methodologies to resolve total system problems, or technology problems as they relate to Information Assurance (IA) organizational requirements.

Collaborating closely with senior engineers, other team members and application owners to timely solve technical problems at the network, system, and application levels.

Managing multiple assignments, changing priorities, and working independently with little oversight.

Facilitating Continuity of Operations, Disaster Recovery design and testing.
Required Knowledge and Qualifications:
-
Bachelor’s degree or higher in Engineering, Science, or related discipline.

5+ years of experience leading cybersecurity teams or projects.
-
Proficiency in written and oral communication and interpersonal skills.
-
Experience working within Security Operation Center (SOC) environments.
-
Knowledge and experience with DOD IA processes and policies (e.g., CJCSM 6510.01, Incident Response and other IA policies).

DoD 8570 IA Workforce Systems Architecture and Engineering (IASAE) Level III approved baseline certification.
-
Approved certifications: CISSP-ISSAP, CISSP-ISSEP, or CCSP.

Active TS/SCI clearance
